jobs you can trace to a source
Count a job against a source only if you know where it came from. Jobs you cannot attribute belong in neither the numerator nor the denominator, because guessing the source is what makes a channel look cheap.

Before this tool can tell you anything, the attribution has to exist. Put a required source field on your intake form so a job cannot be saved without one, and have whoever answers the phone fill it at first contact rather than reconstructing it later. Give it a fixed list of your actual sources plus "unknown," because a free-text box turns into fifty spellings of the same referral. Run this once a quarter against that field.

Estimates only, not accounting advice. A quarter of clean attribution beats a year of guesses.
